This magnetic antenna base has a good support for a small antenna. I wouldn't trust these magnets for a large antenna at highway speeds. The rubber covers over the magnets are a bit flimsy. Make sure they are fully seated before attaching the mount to the vehicle. We have found that the rubber curls slightly under the action of a magnet.

The importance of a good magnetic mount for mobile antenna use cannot be overstated.
