This bracket extends 14.5 inches from the stair rung junction. My ladder rungs are 15.5 inches apart so the bracket slides between the side rungs of the ladder and makes contact with the trailer. Before purchasing, measure the distance between the rungs of your stairs. I need to set one to 16 inches for mine to work.
