Really very good thermocouple

I was surprised by the quality. 4 worked and accurate. I used these on my exhaust with a haze meter with an extension cord. The wire insulation is fiberglass (superglue if you need to splice) which was recommended by the gauge manufacturer, apparently cheaper Teflon and must not be used. I recommend this purchase without hesitation. I will definitely buy again.

Pros
  • Application: Connect the red plug to the "+" positive pole and the blue to the "-" negative pole
Cons
  • Discontinued model

When tightening, the threads tear easily.

The problem is there is less than 1/32" between the bottom of the threads and the inside diameter of the thread gauge ring, probably just under 1/64" that is the only thing holding the threads together so very little tightening force is required to loosen the steps. The threaded part has a 1/4-20 loose fit. The probe is 0.15 inch in diameter and hangs in a threaded ring. The spec for the smaller thread diameter for 1/4-20 is .210", although this gauge is even smaller as it fits loosely.

Pros
  • Probe Length: 6mm x 20mm/0.23" x 0.79" (D*L); Connection: 2 insulated plugs; Thread: 2 meters
Cons
  • I don't have a huge aversion to it, everything is fine

Really very good thermocouple

I was surprised at the quality. I ordered 4 and all 4 worked and worked correctly. Extension wire. Wire insulation - fiberglass (superglue if spliced) which is recommended by the gauge manufacturer was, apparently cheaper teflon and can not be used. I recommend this purchase without hesitation. will definitely buy again.

Pros
  • Inner Insulation: Fiberglass; Outer shield: metal shield; Thread: 1/4"
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

It's easy to break the thread when tightened

The problem is that between the bottom of the thread and the inside diameter of the threaded brass ring is probably less than 1/32 inch about 1/ 64 inches which is the only thing holding the threads together so very little torque is required to loosen the stages. The threaded part has a 1/4-20 loose fit. The probe is 0.15 inch in diameter and hangs in a threaded ring. The spec for the smaller thread diameter for 1/4-20 is .210", although this gauge is even smaller as it fits loosely.

Pros
  • Package Included: 1 x Temperature Sensor
Cons
  • Doubtful

Really very good thermocouple

I was surprised by their quality. I ordered 4 and all 4 worked and worked exactly. Fiberglass (superglue if you need to glue) recommended by the gauge manufacturer is obviously cheaper Teflon and can't be used. I recommend this purchase without hesitation. I will definitely buy again.

Pros
  • Temperature probes and sensors
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Threads break easily when tightened

The problem is that the distance between the bottom of the threads and the inside diameter of the threaded brass ring is less than 1/32 inch. , probably about 1/64", which is the only thing holding the threads together so very little torque is required to loosen the steps. The threaded part is a 1/4-20 loose fit. The probe is 1/8" dia of .15" and hangs in a threaded ring. The specification for the smaller thread diameter for 1/4-20 is .210", although this gauge is even smaller as it fits…

Pros
  • Test, measure and inspect
Cons
  • Available in white only
