This is well done and I thought it only had little purple lights, but it includes little transparent bats that can be added to any branches. So you can use it for more than just Halloween. In addition, you can set it to timer mode and it will turn on and off automatically. I ordered three and I'm glad I did.

I'm just sad that LED bulbs get weaker over time. This is very discouraging. Edit: It's very frustrating that I have to keep changing batteries. I use Duracell and if I don't run the tree for even an hour the LEDs dim and won't turn back on without changing the battery. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I was hoping for something better.

Overall works and is cute for Halloween. We love the purple highlights on the ebony. There wasn't much glitter when it came out of the box and it was easy to set up. Unfortunately, some screws are rusty. Also, when you add bats, add a branch to their heads. This may have been done on purpose in order to hang them upside down, but it looks a bit odd to some (see photo). From a distance you don't notice much.

I was impressed by this little tree. I was a bit nervous after some negative reviews but mine arrived safe and sound. I took it out of the box and arranged the limbs neatly with no problem. Lit up, looks great! I didn't use bats. Finally ordered a second one! I'm using them as centerpieces for a haunted house party where the decor is all black and purple. I think for the price they are worth it and I am sure that with proper care I will be using them for years to come.

Looks great and the battery life is much longer than expected. With an automatic time setting of 6 hours per day, this tree ran for 3-4 weeks on one set of batteries. I had to replace the day before Halloween because the LEDs were dimming. Warning: we didn't use bats, which were very small and just sat on the LEDs. We have young grandchildren and I was afraid they might take it off and put it in their mouths. They pose a nasty choking hazard.

This is a really pretty little tree for Halloween. Either alone or in Dept 56 / Lemax Halloween Village (which is what I use it for). The timer works great. The only thing is the switch is covered in glitter so you can't tell which setting to set to off/on or 6 o'clock. So I had to experiment.
