This is probably a 3.5 star item. The plastic itself seems very thin. And for the price I would have expected something more reliable. It looks great on my laptop and will do the trick until a better option comes along. I think anything other than buying the latest version limits what's on offer. Nice print, I only have black tip and it looks good against the air so overall I'm happy with it. I'm taking off a star because it looks very thin.

I like the look of the protective cover. The screen protector was a bit crumpled in transit (from crazy snowstorms delaying shipping for weeks!), so there's a funny stain on the left side and a few blisters that I just couldn't get out no matter how hard I tried. I got a new Macbook Air (model A2179) and bought this case for it after reading positive reviews from other buyers saying it was for the same laptop model worked . Initially I was very happy with this case as it was exactly what I was looking for, the design is nice and clear, it snaps and fits perfectly and I had no problems.
