TY26583 Deluxe Steering Spinner Mowers Review

Includes 3 screws of different heights: short, medium and long. I didn't like it because the screw went from the bottom instead of the top. Another note: If you use a long screw, it will stick out about 1/2 inch after everything is tight because the screw is installed from the bottom up. I ended up using a medium size, still a bit short. I wanted to use a long screw but not flush with the hole.

Our son has one of these on the same tractor which has now run almost 2600 hours and the steering knob is now as smooth as the day we fitted it. This one is new to another tractor of the same quality, smooth and very little play in the bearings/bushings. Stay away from designs where the base of the clamp expands as the threads will not hold against it. We had to return one of these to the Kubota dealer.

The TY26583 deluxe steering knob makes mowing my lawn that much easier on my John Deere LA115 mower. Now I can steer with one hand. My shoulders take a lot less strain. I wish I had that grip back when I was making hay. I liked it so much I sent it to my brother in law for his John Deere 1025R compact tractor and he and my daughter love it too. I had no idea how much I would like this. I have a John Deere E110 and had to use longer bolts. I placed it at top dead center of the wheel. I got this one and paid twice as much for it as the others, so I wouldn't go for one that has the screw threads hanging down. I didn't want to cut myself or get holes in my clothes. You will notice that this one has a smooth underside. The handle turns as if on ball bearings. This makes mowing the grass easier, especially when turning from lock to lock.

I found this item to be both challenging and easy to install. If you install the spinner grip with the rubber piece provided, it will be extremely difficult to install. Installing the spinner grip without the use of a rubber piece makes installation an easy task. As far as I know, the rubber band is not needed.
