Fits, works, quiet. good replacement parts

Looks like a good replacement for expensive OEM parts. But it's only been 3 months, not enough to really judge (the original ones lasted 6 years). As another reviewer pointed out, the threads are different from the original - it takes 4mm screws/bolts instead of 6-32. Probably because it's made in Taiwan, which is metric, and the cars are assembled in the US (still in inches). Also the connector is a bit cheaper than the original but still works. Draws less than 1A at 12V with no load and less…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Poor instructions

Works great in fans

Like others I had to buy new screws and washers for the blades but that was a minor inconvenience. It also protrudes into the engine bay about a half inch more than the stock fan, again .minor. Functionally, it's fantastic and significantly faster than the original, which was quite old. The shaft was the right size for the fan blade, no problem here. Overall, this is a good engine replacement for those on a budget. And let's face it, they run on older cars, so go ahead.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Have doubts

2000 Subaru Outback Fan Motor Replace

Motor runs well but bolt holes are smaller than the 10mm originally used. You'll need smaller bolts - you can also see the new nut on the shaft here - but I didn't have them so keep the original nut. I also had to adjust the plug to fit properly. Overall these are minor issues as the price made all these issues worth it. The R&R lasted about 30 minutes. This engine appears to rev faster than the original. I will probably buy a different motor for a different fan as the motors are the same just…

Will not directly fit 2002 Subaru Legacy Outback 2.5 Right or Left Side

I gave 2 stars because it does not fit 2002 Subaru Legacy Outback 2.5.1. I had to drill mounting holes and use screws and nuts because they were the wrong size. 2) I had to put a washer under the fan blade to tighten the nut because there was too much room. should have taken 1/2 hour, took 2 hours and i was lucky enough to have all the necessary equipment with me. This is an update - I got the second one for the right side (AC). The fans that were in the car were the same on the right and left,
