TYC 800189P Replacement Cabin Filter Review

Bought this filter for my 2017 Hyundai Elantra. What I found is that the length and width are the same but the thickness is about 2/3 the org. I still use it but I don't think it will be a good seal like org when it comes to air filtration.

Fits perfectly on my 2013 Elantra GT. Cheap and works well. The installation takes only 5 minutes. I've seen several negative reviews of the 2017 Elantra sedan. Well it uses a different filter, 800216P, so I think the negative reviews are wrong. Be sure to check the installation on the TYC website.

Much cheaper than the OEM cabin filter and looks pretty much the same. Installation on the 2013 Elantra coupe was good, no problems, easy installation. As for the cabin air filter I'm willing to use aftermarket parts and for the engine air filter I usually stick with the OEM. They always seem to be of better quality.

This is a filter you don't see/replace very often and it's kind of a pain in my 16 Hyundai Elantra as you need to "remove" the filter. glove box to access. If you pull the old one out after a year, it's pretty gross. It's a pretty clunky setup, but not a very difficult one, and at least I always feel better after completing it.

WILL NOT FIT 2017 HYUNDAI ELANTRA. . I have attached some photos showing the variations. When I reported the problem to the seller, the return was processed very quickly.

Changing the cabin air filter for the first time. The filter comes with instructions (I was about to put it on YouTube, but I don't have to!) A sheet with photos and clear instructions on how to open the glove box, unscrew this or that, and install the filter. I did it in 3 minutes. The filter fits my standard filter exactly - 2016 Kia Forte5. I will buy again in the next shift, why pay 4 times more? A very happy customer.

I purchased this TYC 800189P cabin air filter for two different Hyundai vehicles: 2016 Elantra GT (or i30 hatchback outside US) and sedan Elantra SE 2015 Release . They fit perfectly, no modifications needed. In fact, I've used this TYC filter more than once in both machines and they performed just like the factory originals. There's no reason to spend more when these filters are available.
