🔌 CO 4691C A/C Compressor and Clutch by Universal Air Conditioner - Grey Review

Replaced the compressor on my 98 jeep xj with this one. My old bearing fell apart and made a terrible noise. the thing worked great.

I had to have a mechanic install it because the bolts on the old compressor broke. Deletion failed. The mechanic said to put early. I had to charge the mechanic. Used and blows nice and cold.

This second one thought the problem was accidental but it's not a clutch defect, the squeak started every time the air was turned on. Now I have no guarantee.

Worked fine for two summers and now I'm buying another one. So considering the extra work I'll have to replace that again. this is not a bargain even at the low price.

Lasted exactly 40 days! Worked fine, took charge and all is good, at day 40 the compressor started drawing too many amps and the belt is slowing down/squeaking. I changed the belt, checked the air conditioner, everything is fine, the compressor is broken.

Today 11/12/2015 my mechanic installed this supercharger on my 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport. I finally have an air conditioner! Great price and hope it lasts a while. I can't give it five stars because I don't know if it will stand the test of time! If this goes on for a year I will update my rating to 5 stars. Update 02/07/2017: The air compressor is still running over a year later!

Upon unpacking, I found that the electrical connector was crushed and broken into three pieces. Superglue won't fix this and I can't wait for a replacement to be sent. I can connect and solder the connector from the compressor that I'm swapping, but that's the reason for the two stars. It's not just bad packaging. The connector could have been made of a more flexible material instead of cheap flimsy hard plastic.
