🔌 Connecticut Made UBIZ0230 RC3830 Replacement Review

Don't be fooled by the claim that this is Connecticut Electric. One would assume that it is an American company and that it is made in the USA. The thing is, it's made in China. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but in this case IT IS. This is the worst and cheapest switch I have ever used. A close family member bought at least 3 of these and they all failed within a year. When I bought this one I didn't realize it was the same make and model that kept failing.

These are very poorly made circuit breakers. I bought one and right out of the box it was clear that it was defective. The switch would not snap positively in either direction. After confirming that the meter was defective, I sent it back and ordered another one, thinking it might be a one-off item. The second showed up and had the same problem. I sent it back and ended up ordering a used one elsewhere. He worked correctly. Having not made original Zinsco switches in years it can be difficult…

If you have a Zinsco switch box and can't afford to replace your time bomb then you need to buy these replacement switches. They are made with minimal quality control straight from the shipping container you know where. I sent back 2 of the 7 I bought because they wouldn't turn on and off properly.
