Compact corner connector; some interference issues

Pros: These corner connectors are quite compact. The connector protrudes about 5/8 inch from the device it's connected to, which is less than other cables I've tried. The connectors provide a strong connection that won't come loose when the cable is moved (I've had this issue with other cables I've tried). PS4/Disconnection Fix

I bought this adapter to use with an external hard drive on my PS4. At first, I kept getting an error message that my external hard drive wasn't properly disabled and needed to be repaired. I initially assumed the problem was with the hard drive until I tried using it without an extension. It turned out that the problem was with the extension, although the connection seemed secure. Causes I/O errors EVERY time. Do not purchase this adapter until the material/design issues are resolved.

I was very excited at first, but it soon subsided. For some reason every external hard drive I have causes I/O errors when transferring large files. This includes the system backup. which is a HUGE problem. If I remove this right/left corner adapter, the problem goes away. When I/O fails, I can't even properly eject the drive to safely remove or access the USB. It just blocks the drive/port. This is likely the result of insufficient shielding or the material used to create multiple channels…

UPDATE: RUN! ORIGINAL: Perfect for a MacBook Pro or other laptop with USB ports on opposite sides.

UPDATED 30 December 2016 WARNING. These cables are unstable and don't work well with USB 3.0 hubs at all. My hard drives kept failing, my wired internet connection kept dropping, and I eventually traced the cause back to those cables. After I removed them, everything worked fine. The only reason these cables aren't rated 1 star is because they seem to work fine with a single WD MyPassport 2.5" USB 3.0 portable hard drive, which is odd. They were rejected and they have the exact same problem so…
