This marker was dry when I received it. Follow the directions and try using it for 10 minutes before giving up. Not a drop came out of this dirt. And I couldn't even return it a few days after receiving it. Luckily it was only a few dollars, but still - no joy.

I used chalkboard labels for my kitchen. In fact, I had my 10 year old do it and the pen worked great! He is left-handed and has some paint on his hand. If you are left-handed, we recommend drying for 20-30 seconds between letters. However, the paint washed off his hand with no problem.

To all those who are annoyed that it is not erased on chalkboards, this is the case with all chalk markers. The product isn't to blame, especially since the packaging says it's only for use on non-porous surfaces. However, I have a tip. You can buy chalkboard sealers to use these (and any chalk markers) on them. Check out Revain's Clear Acrylic Spray Sealer. These are excellent markers with no non-porous surfaces.

I bought this liquid chalk marker to write on the chalk labels that came with the sprayers I bought. They worked absolutely perfectly. Liquid chalk turns out to be a nice rich white color. The only problem was that you have to shake it and press the tip a lot more than it says to get it to write. This is what you should normally do with all of these markers. Worked great with the mini boards I bought. I keep reading that others can't get it to work and I can't stress enough that the instructions are correct. As for me, I kept shaking and checking the pen until finally the ink ran out. Then once it starts to flow for the first time make sure you use it as a test before working on the project as the first few lines will come out weaker than the next and the next. This marker is indispensable if you have something to draw with chalk. I have to write on the board. I got tired of using tape on all my containers and decided to put labels on the board.
