Quick Craft Hole Punch

Works smoothly and has an area at the bottom to collect points. The clear plastic piece slides back to empty. Since the underside is clean, you can hold the stamp upside down so you can see exactly where you're going to make the cut. Circles come out with clean edges. It works on cardboard but I think it fades faster than paper. The lever moves easily without much effort.

Pros
  • Ideal for cards, invitations, scrapbooks, scrapbooks, magazines and various paper crafts
Cons
  • Doubtful

Jumbo Craft Punch - just great!

It was just the size I needed and I was very happy to use it. However, my excitement was blunted when I realized there was a blunt spot on the blade inside the stamp. The paper (which I used for daily copying is not thick at all) keeps getting stuck in the punch and sometimes tears when I try to pull the paper out. I am very disappointed in the value for money!

Pros
  • Lever punch for easy punching
Cons
  • Expensive

Doesn't make a straight cut

So the punch's only job is to make nice, round pieces of paper. I bought this to make homemade printed board game tokens and it just doesn't work very well. I use an 88 lb inkjet printer and it can barely handle it (mostly postcards). It tears the edges of the paper as it perforates, leaving no clean edges. Not sure what I was expecting from $7 but it was quite disappointing as it can't even do the basic job of getting a clean hit. Next time I'll look for something more industrial.

Pros
  • Shapes are printed on top of lever handle for easy identification
Cons
  • A newer model could have been chosen
