Great price, works great!

Film is inexpensive and works well. They will give you many Steel Bands. I used this on my turbocharged snowmobile to control pipe heat and increase RPM. I used about 1.2 rolls for the job. Before installation, soak it in water and set it damp for better wrapping. Thermal cycle after completion.

  • Nice

Not impressed with exhaust and emissions

This film has not held up as well as some others I have used. I have used this on two sets of Harley touring motorcycle exhausts. Both exhaust systems lost paint shortly after installation. Like all exhaust foils, I sprayed the foil with heat-resistant silicone. It also seemed to produce more fiberglass residue than other brands I've used. I do not recommend this product.Ole GOAT Customs

Great thermal film that works better than advertised

I have kept my right knee off the engine/exhaust and now feel no heat at all. I haven't ridden non-stop for several hours, but so far it's helped a lot. On the plus side, the bike has a little more power, although I made a few other modifications the same day I put the thermal wrap on, so it's not known how much the wrap actually helped HP.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Expensive

good stuff in Heat Wrap, Matting & Sleeving

almost no 5 star rating just because the stainless zip ties are totally useless. It's either that or I just don't know how to use ties. But the film is excellent, and there's a lot of it. I used wire to attach it to my kid's dirt bike exhaust pipe. With stainless steel cable ties I wasn't able to create enough clamping force to really secure the wrap, but twisting the wire created good tension on the wire and really locked the wrap in place. Wear long sleeves and pants, complete crap, I wasโ€ฆ

Enough to wrap two manifolds

This was easy to install and seems to work, greatly reducing radiant heat. The material is not very durable. Breaks on sharp edges. This is something you may need to repeat on a regular basis. I don't blame the material. I think it is. Also remember that it is actually fiberglass. You want to use gloves. It's pretty fire resistant. I tested the piece with a torch and heated it well above the exhaust temp and it didn't burn out, but it seemed weakened. Also, it seems prone to fading. Some tipsโ€ฆ
