Surprisingly a bit thick

EDIT: I've been using it for a year now and it works great on all my devices. I originally posted a review about its thickness but now I realize I was being picky. Because of this, my laptop is bending the connector on my computer. kind of sketchy. It's inconvenient to use on a countertop as it puts strain on the connector. If you have a thin laptop, be careful!

Works well: memory card accessory

I was pleasantly surprised at how well this works with USB-C and USB-A, with SD and micro SD cards. By inserting an SD card and a micro SD card into their respective slots at the same time and connecting this reader to a USB port, you can easily move files between two SD (micro SD) cards. Cool feature. Great feature for photographers to back up files.

Convenient to use with a phone.

I received this specifically to use with the OTG function for Android phones. I often take dashcam footage from a microSD card and use my phone to extract/download the file. It's also nice to be able to upload raw files from the DSLR's SD card if your camera doesn't already have built-in WiFi. Because this card reader also comes with a regular USB Type-A connector, I also use it when I'm sitting in front of a computer. Works great with my Blackberry KeyOne Android phone

Just popped it into my OTG compatible KeyOne then put in a 32GB SD card and my KeyOne can now transfer files taken from my camera and/ or move files from phone SD card. I attached them as email attachments, which is fine for multiple files, but not good for moving lots of files. As a bonus, I could even plug an old USB drive into the other end and it pulled out files and directories with no problem. I didn't trust WiFi SD cards and reviews I read indicated they were annoying and slow - I didn't

Ideal for Tesla Model 3 and Google Pixel 3

Since Tesla recently added dashcam and sentry mode to its Model 3 but without the ability to view recorded video on the car's screen, this product is perfect for the car to save video to micro SD cards and my pixel 3 to watch videos. I chose to use micro SD cards instead of a USB stick for maximum flexibility so the storage doesn't stick to the USB device.

I don't know what this product has to do with it? LOL This is very useful for downloading pics, music, documents etc from my phone! If someone has a phone that doesn't support SD card, does that work just as well if not better!? For iPhone/tablets you will need to either purchase an adapter for this item or find an iPhone/tablet reader. Recently bought and happy. I've found that I have to insert and remove the microSD card with my fingernail (not my finger) for the card to lock or unlock, but otherwise no problem. I have a new laptop with USB-C ports and this reader made it easy for me to switch from my USB-A device to my laptop, just plug and view.
