Great as a USB switch if you have multiple monitor inputs.

I use this as a USB switch, I didn't use the VGA ports at all. My monitor had both DVI and HDMI connections so I could switch between my Mac and PC on the monitor, but I needed a way to use a keyboard and mouse and switch between the two systems. I used a USB hub and manually routed the cable from one system to another. Pros: Easily switch between systems. The status display shows which system is being used. Cables to the systems are included switches, that's the problem, it's the operating…

This makes working with two computers fun!

Received this today and already love it! I had already connected the VGA cables, so it was easy to connect them to this KVM switch. Connecting the single USB cable (included with this switch) to each computer was also hassle-free, and I was happy to see that my two computers worked with just one monitor, keyboard, and mouse. I had a small issue worth mentioning so others don't repeat my mistake. I thought I unplugged the mouse from both computers and plugged the USB cable into the KVM switch…

Works well in computer components

Seems to work well. I had no connection issues and both computers booted and connected just fine. I was surprised that it also includes two short Type A and Type B USB cables, which I didn't use as I already assumed I'd have to use my own VGA/USB cables. makes positioning difficult so the button is accessible at the top and the cable routing doesn't look messy and get in the way. 2) The blue LED does not indicate which port is selected. One illuminates the entire bar and the other only half of…

Didn't expect that! Works perfectly

Ok it's only been a day but I'm impressed. I expected problems, unstable behavior, compatibility issues, etc. Everything was fine from the start. Easy to set up, no conflicts. I needed a solution to share a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse between a work laptop and a home PC. I have a Dell laptop with a Dell docking station. I recently bought two monitors with two inputs each and they work fine. I changed my wireless mouse and keyboard combo when going from laptop to PC - thought there was…

Works great with wireless devices

I have a personal MacBook Pro and a Dell work laptop. I got tired of having both open on my desk at the same time and having to shuffle them when switching tasks between them. I now have both laptops in a box next to my desk and each is set to stay awake when the lid is closed. I also have a 27" monitor that gets power from each laptop's video outputs through this switch. Both the keyboard and mouse are wireless devices from Logitech that use their merging receiver to connect to a computer (or…
