The device is much larger than it appears in the photo.

The device is much larger than it appears in the photo. Also, it cannot be surface mounted and requires a hole in the wall.

FATAL Accessory Error

These are the worst devices I have ever tried. The build looks solid, but the inside must be junk. I bought 8 and had a 90% failure rate. The LEDs are so dim you can only see them in a dark room.

Pros
  • Frequency: 125kHz
Cons
  • Negative Result Present

Low quality accessories

These readers are of very poor quality and I would Advise you to look for another EM compatible reader. We ordered (14) of them and half of them produced 3 out of 5 missing readings and others had cosmetic issues with half the LED not working or not working at all, of the (14) we ordered (4) worked properly , so 70% pop out of the box, WOW!

Pros
  • Card type: EM ID card (does not support encrypted cards such as HID, Indala, Cobra, APCiK, Paradox, Radio, Honeywell, etc.)
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Poor workmanship

These card readers work well if you install them very carefully, but they are very poorly made. I have ordered dozens of them because they are cheap and almost all of them break and I have to fix them locally. To mount it on the wall, you need to remove the decorative cover. They should pop right out, but the bezel has melted onto the reader and is difficult to remove without breaking. I suspect during production the bezel snaps into place when the reader is still very hot and the two parts…

Pros
  • Type: Wiegand 26-bit
Cons
  • Not all will fit
