Fits my GoPro 9 camera perfectly, but the cold shoe is the full width of the cover that gets in the way when mounting to some stabilizers or other mount adapters.

Allows you to easily charge your Gopro battery

If you use an external battery to extend the life of your camera, this battery cover is a must. A note: your camera is not waterproof when using this case.

Great to have accessory kits

It's useful and easy to put on and take off. The build quality seems to be good. I would like it to be a little tighter as the GoPro can wobble a bit when using the tripod mount. Still a good accessory and I recommend it.

Works as advertised.

Perfect for my GoPro Hero 9. Now it's super easy to charge or add a separate microphone with the Gopro 3.5 Mic Adapter (not included with the battery cover). An added plus is the optional hot shoe mount and 1/4" screw mount. You can't use both at the same time, but it's a nice addition.

GoPro changed the design as follows.

The design of the housing does not correspond to the current design of the current GoPro9. You can still use the cover, but the newer GoPro requires you to remove 4 screws (don't lose them!) to remove the original cover. The new cover fits and will likely stay in place, but it doesn't "snap" in place as you might expect. it still works, just not as "seamless"

Ulanzi battery cover.

The door is a good replacement for the original. Metal, not cheap plastic. It's not waterproof, but opens the side for the power cord. Therefore, the video may last longer than the battery life. The Cold Shoe doesn't have a mounting hole to securely attach the flashlight, so I wouldn't recommend using it with it.

Inexpensive, well made and very useful

Use this when using a GoPro Hero9 without a media module and not diving underwater. But if you're just using the Hero9 as a regular camera or camcorder, it's very useful for two reasons: you don't have to open it up to plug in a charging cable, or connect it to your computer to download pictures. Big win for easy unlock and fix. I love that part about it and the fact that it has a holder (forget the real name) to attach the add-on, I placed the wireless transmitter in that spot. I looked againโ€ฆ
