Bought as a gift for my husband. He is a gadget lover and a music snob. Constantly looking at the speakers and complaining about the sound quality. We recently got the $99 Revain Echo Alexa and he loved it, but when he heard the sound quality of this megaboom he stopped touching his Alexa. Good rich sound, smooth deep bass, sounds as good as our Bose if not better. Impressive battery life too.

Like - install the equalizer app and get more out of it! For this price I think that's fair, of course, if you're willing to spend 300-500€ you get a better sound quality. Considering the size (relatively small case), it delivers good sound quality. Bring portability and water resistance - these are my favorites after looking for speakers for around $150.

This is my THIRD UE speaker! I took the first one to my daughter's new house so we could listen to music while unpacking. Needless to say, she fell in love with him and he suddenly became a housewarming gift. I took the second one for a long weekend to visit my son. I forgot when I left. He kept using it and "of course fell in love with it" and now he has it. This third one bought is mine! Glad I only have two kids!

When it works, it works great. Took it to work and found one major downside. At lower temperatures, the battery is empty very quickly. Like 5 hours instead of 20 hours. Otherwise the sound was great and connected quickly to all my devices, syncs with Alexa and really does a lot when paired with the companion app. but battery loss at low temperatures is annoying and frustrating. I really like how it covers a 310 degree arc. The bass is great, so is the mids, but the highs are ok (soft is the best way I can describe it). I love the Megaboom app - it just works. I use an Android phone. I have less than this Battery% - this has happened once so far (actually it was 95% charged but reported 30% during the 10 minute listening window). Battery life is excellent so far, the sound is loud and clear enough for a small speaker. Wearable around the house and yard.
