White frisbee is stronger than blue color

These frisbees seem to be made differently depending on the colour. I first bought a white Ultimate Frisbee (this DIscraft model) to fish with my dog (Labor border collie: Borador mix, the best dog in the world). She liked it so much I bought a blue one as a spare. She barely crumpled the white disc. She chewed the blue disc right on the first throw! Blue plastic feels softer than white and more pliable. Stick to the white disc for durability! PS: I play golf regularly and understand the…

My kids are good at throwing it!

I had an old frisbee at home and was trying to teach my kids how to throw a frisbee but they just couldn't throw it well. Decided to buy a new one because they didn't give up on learning frisbee so I thought maybe the frisbee I had wasn't good. And I was right because my kids started throwing this frisbee well! I think the material and weight distribution makes a big difference and this frisbee seems to have it all. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a good frisbee, especially for…

The best frisbee I've ever had!

These are the best frisbees I've ever used! I played a lot of frisbee with friends and even ultimate frisbee. Every time someone shows up with one of these discs, everyone uses them and kicks out other Frisbees. I now have 4 of these and they are great. They fly great, have a good weight and the material used is of high quality. It is strong with a slight flex and almost soft feel which is good for fishing. Of all the colors I've bought, my favorite is white. The only downside to this lens is…

I never thought that such an incredibly high quality frisbee existed!

I was looking for a frisbee to throw to my dog but it's too big and heavy for him. However, after only leaving her once, I fell in love with her. I've never been very good at throwing a frisbee (because I really sucked). That is different. The disc is the perfect weight, feels good in the hand and when I let go it just slides quite a bit in the desired direction. REALLY AMAZING! I suddenly felt like a pro. Dilemma: 1. it is too heavy for my dog; 2. I have no one to play frisbee with.3. I love…

Well done, badly designed.

I had my doubts when I read the weight but I realized given the good reviews it might be better than I imagined. Well it isn't. Frisbee can be too heavy, and this one. If it had a deeper slab it might perform better, but it's shallow with a small slab meaning it doesn't float well. It's basically a big round plastic rock that doesn't fly very far or particularly well. It's well made in terms of materials, but the shallow bowl also means it's not as stable, so you'll need to be more precise when

Pros
  • Easy to set up
Cons
  • Expandable

Great CD but didn't know how good it was until I compared it

my 8 year old son and I have been playing this for about a year before my wife and I left it. I've had it for years. I always thought it was a good ride, but I didn't realize how good it was until I specifically came out to compare it to a competitor. Today we tried the 140g Franklin Sports flying disc. Only 35 grams lighter, but this Ultra Star disc was much more stable in flight - even when thrown by an eight-year-old, it barely wobbled. Doesn't matter! But the real difference was at the…

Very happy with the old reserve

I was born and raised in a beach town and Frisbee was a big part of everything. I haven't even looked at what else is out there on the market. The only other clays I've ever thrown were the hard little golf clays or the free clays that you get as a promotional item. Until two weeks ago. Then they introduced me to Discraft Ultra Star at a picnic. At first I thought it was about the same. Same size. The same weight. The same flexible plastic. The same feeling on the handle. Same basic shape. But…
