After a week of wearing my dog started smelling like a dirty dime. But it looks like shiny brass or a new dime, I washed it, it helped but came back after a few days so it might work better on another breed of dog.

I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with this dog collar. It looks very nice, it's quite thin as other reviewers have said which is fine but the problem is that the coating has peeled off of two small rings and what happened to it in the first week or two of use , so I don't know how long it will take?

I received the item on November 29th, it is now December 5th and the rose gold plating is peeling off the links between the chain and o-ring. This is the only place where the coating seems to be peeling off. Update January 7th: The coating has completely peeled off the studs and they are now staining my dog's white coat.

Nice thick show chain. Looks great on my dog. Very durable and strong. Withstands more than 100 pounds of thrust. If it doesn't pull, you can't tell it's on other than the bright glow of light hitting the metal.
