My 5 year old granddaughter is very small and cannot unbuckle her car seat which has always bothered her. This little tool works great and my granddaughter is confident and happy that she can get out of her car seat. I also bought one for her mom to keep in the car.

I bought these to help my 4 year old daughter get out of her car seat (booster strapped on). I taught her how to release the chest clip but she could not release the crotch buckle on her own. They work great and now she can easily unbuckle the crotch buckle. (Note: She's very safety conscious, so I'm not worried about her getting up from her seat at the wrong time.)

Luckily my son didn't even try to open it. But this bottom plug is a beast for any age. Now my 5 year old can start unbuckling while I toss the car into the parking lot as we rush through the carpool line. He figured out how to use everything himself, and now it's pretty easy for him.
