Terrible product the best clockwork toy

We were so excited to try this little boat but the boat couldn't take the candle and ended up burning out all the paint and deforming the boat after a few minutes of use. DO NOT BUY.

looks ok Very poor quality of work.

Worked once after opening the package. And hardly. After about twenty minutes of gameplay, it stopped working. And that was it. Hasn't worked since then. I left the lamp on for a long time to see if it would turn on. pipes cleaned. Useless. It's not even with what you pay.

Don't forget to pour water in the pipes first

Super thin tin and terrible candle holder but it worked as it should. At least not until the "engine" has opened up and is now barely running and dripping onto the spark plug through a leak. I plan to make some changes so I don't send it back. Fun while it lasted and will be fun to play around with

5 stars because it was exactly as described but can't hold a candle to older Sterno versions

Apparently they can't sell the Sterno version of these boats these days but they are so used to it to work and they had much more durability when playing. The boat worked as described, but the spark plug burned out a few seconds after the boat started. It was a nice little trip down memory lane!

The product clearly came used

I was happy to play with my kids and this little boat. When I opened the box the boat was indeed worn and very visibly used. According to the description it is a new product. Lie! The actual performance of the boiler is ridiculous at best. It's frustrating to use and you just have to fiddle with it constantly, which takes all the fun out of it.

Just didn't work + return request IGNORED

I know how to operate a pop boat. I lit a candle, put it under the cauldron and waited. It burst once or twice but nothing came out until the black soot coming off the painted metal boat forced me to put it out. I tried the next day with the second candle that came with it. The same thing. He was obviously wrong. So I requested a refund. This was ignored by the manufacturer. Bad service. Avoid this seller.

Nice little tin boat, like in Ponyo. And it really works!

ALWAYS fill two tubes with water first. Otherwise it doesn't work. Love it! I ordered it after seeing the Ponyo movie. This is a fairly accurate replica of the toy steamer seen in the movie. Judging by the video, it works. The trick is to position the candle like in my photo. I was different and not so much. long. The toy is made of pressed sheet metal with a colored lithographic pattern. It is fragile in construction but is said to last for several years. And it's a lot of fun. Theโ€ฆ
