Unfinished Coasters Centerpieces Christmas Ornaments Review

The photos above show painted coasters that I tested with a hot cup of coffee. It wasn't cracked, but it couldn't withstand the heat of a hot mug. There were also a few coasters that had already cracked. This product does not have the strength needed for a stand.

I like the color and natural look of wood but be careful when placing soft drinks on it. Beverage condensate will soak the coaster and crack the next day. Because the coasters are not painted, they break easily when wet or heated. In addition to coasters for drinks, I also use them as coasters for candles. The heat of the candle also crackled the wooden discs.

I bought this item to make 4 sets of coasters. When they arrived 3 wood panels had 1 inch cracks so I couldn't use them. I painted the coasters and covered them with acrylic and was very happy with the result. The next morning I look at one of them and see a crack in it that wasn't there the day before!
