    Love this thing good for electrics

    I've had it for almost a year now and it's traveled the world with me. My highest praise is bringing this to Burning Man and using it to fix the firing controls on a number of fire effects. It's an extremely harsh environment and if he can survive it, he can survive anything. The only harder setting is giving it to a group of elementary school kids, which I ALSO did and held up. love this shop.

    Worth more than its price

    I bought this because I needed the accuracy needed to safely build lithium ion battery charging circuits and none of the Gauges I have owned have been accurate or accurate enough to be trusted. I guess I'm the opposite of spoiled, whatever it's called - I come from a time when five digit accuracy and even four digit accuracy cost thousands of dollars. .     I received a new original UNI-T meter in a package with all accessories.* The readability is fantastic! When I put it next to one of my old gauges (Fluke 101 etc) they all look like junk.     Fantastic multimeter, would recommend to all hobbyists

    Really fantastic multimeter for the price, tested at 5v reference, proved accurate, tested at 1mA reference, well within spec per mA range. The uA range isn't as accurate (but still within spec), the resistor specs were perfect above 1kΩ, and it's pretty easy to calibrate the dc volts, ac volts, and 1-star offset because I really wish it had 3 small features 1) auto power off ability (with ability to turn off on startup like other logging counters) 2) ability to disable data link (just a waste…

    This gauge drew me in because it has a 22.00 rating. If you don't need that resolution and RS232, check out the Uni-T 139C. Yes, it's good when working with small electronic circuits. It is useless if the main power devices are repaired. The RS232 port requires a standard RS232 port, not a USB UART. The body looks solid. The sensors are clearly not the best.     Can't complain about this DMM. Okay, maybe 2 per second refresh rate, but that's not too bad. Solidly built and packed with features, it has a 20,000 rating! Just great! This DMM doesn't feel cheap at all, it doesn't look like the Mastech 5268 I bought just two weeks ago. I wish I had seen this first before spending $27 on Mastech. Absolutely worth every penny.     Just get it. That's better than multimeters that cost more than twice as much.

    It says RioRand, but it's actually a Uni-T U61E. I wish I could give it 4.5 stars as there are a few minor issues. I'll start with them, but don't forget that I really like this little guy. He's not as fast as he'd like. It has no backlight and it squeaks too much. The beep isn't that annoying though, it's still fast enough, and you can add a backlight if you want.     This is a fantastic instrument in every way; especially for the price. I spent a lot of time and research selecting this pup. I bought a replacement Fluke 289 that I had for many years (a gauge that still costs at least 7x the price of this gauge).
