Slightly disappointed

I wanted an easy to erase pencil. This is erasable but comes with a separate eraser. I lost my eraser twice. It's a bit difficult. I'm not an artist, I just wanted a quality pencil and eraser.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Replacement availability

this is NOT HI Uni. It's just a normal university.

although the lead is similar to hi-uni, lower quality wood pressing and finishing definitely worth the price. This is a quality product in a beautiful protective display case. The smoothness of writing and drawing is evident in use. It looks so much like Hi-Uni that you won't notice it unless you're from this planet.

Pros
  • delivery was very quick
Cons
  • fading

Today's best all-round pen

I've been looking for the best pencil for writing and everyday drawing for a long time. I have bought dozens of high quality pencils from different brands. In my opinion this one is the best and he only has one equal twice the price. 2B offers a softer lead than the more common HB (#2), which largely eliminates scratches on the paper. They don't have an eraser on them, but I can handle that.

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • No instructions

Delicious pencils for stationery and school supplies

For a dollar or two more than my Mitsubishi 9850 I decided to try the Uni 2B and oh yes they are very good indeed. In fact, I think they're on par with the Palomino Blackwing at half the price. The core is smooth and dark and it is a pleasure to write with this pencil. Even the plastic box they come in is impressive. Summarizing the above pencils in one word, Mitsubishi 9850 is good, Blackwing is elegant and these are delicious.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Not as thick as the others

These excellent unis are almost as good as.

There are Mitsubishi Uni (these) and Hi-Uni pencils. It goes without saying that Hi is better because they are more expensive (though not by much). So if you're on a budget, here's the good news: I don't see any difference! at least in writing, I don't know about drawing/sketching because I'm not an artist. So pay less and get these really wonderful pens, you won't regret it. Or shell out another six dollars and buy a Hi-Unis or a Tombow 100. You'll love them all. Remember to stick to 2B. It is

Excellent choice for pencil drawings

Excellent value for money. Very good for quick sketching and shading. The ultra-smooth pen glides easily across the paper. No scratches or dirt to disturb the impression. The pencil is razor sharp and will not break. The soft lead is ideal for mixing and for quick tone generation. A dozen high-quality 2B pencils, a plastic eraser block in a hard plastic case and all packed in a durable plastic pencil box - a great gift for artists and creative people. It arrived quickly, even before the…

The best I've ever used

I'm by no means a pencil expert but this is the best I've ever used. The gold print is purple-brown with a black stripe to emphasize the gold's hardness scale. The wood is high quality, pink in color - probably California cedar - but there are no splinters or fibers in the wood. The core of the graphite lead is centered so that when you sharpen a pencil, the wood adapts to the lead. This means that the trunk of the trunk is in the middle. This is a well made pencil with a beautiful attractive…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Communication with seller

*edit* This was written as a review by Hi-Uni, not "just" Uni, but I left it pretty much untouched. I prefer Hi-Uni, everything that is written here applies to Uni, Hi-Uni - to a greater extent. At full retail the Hi-Uni is around $30 per dozen, at today's Revain prices it's around $17 so not much different than these. If you're the kind of person who pays more than a dollar apiece for pencils, I'd get both and see what you prefer. I still like Uni better than Palomino, but only by a hair's…

Oh God! Wonderful! If you are creative, give it a try!

I bought these pens after deciding to order the new Blackwing Palamino pens and seeing that they were mentioned in a review. In my opinion this is a step above Blackwings. While Blackwings are smooth, they're even smoother. And they are available in different degrees of hardness/softness. They do NOT come with an eraser, but you can easily buy white plastic rubber bands to attach to the ends (remember the erasers we tape to school pencils when we've used up all the pencils). available eraser)…
