Cheap crap scanners

They didn't work. I bought 2 of these and neither worked. I got them for the Mini Clover POS. I've tried them on four different Mini Clover registers and nothing. Clover said they were compatible so I bought them. I called Clover support and they said the problem was with the scanner itself.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Clarity

That works first. for barcode scanners

Of course, their lifespan is short, but they serve their purpose. Using these particular scanners for about 3 years, we can say with confidence that each scanner has a durability of about 1.5 years with regular use. The good news is that they are getting cheaper and cheaper, so they are not as expensive as they used to be and not as expensive as their newer versions.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • There are doubts

Efficient and affordable scanner for small business

I bought this scanner to use with Clover's full size POS system. I was a bit worried but had no problem getting it to work. I just followed the instructions and scanned 1 or 2 barcodes from the instructions and it was done. I've been using it for 2 or 3 months now and I'm very happy with it so far, especially since the most recommended models are around $200. I use it for "normal" UPC codes. I'm concerned about durability but considering the price I'll be happy if I can last 2 years.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Poorly designed

. A plug and play scanner that does what I need to do with my .

This is a self-adapting scanner that seems to work great for what I need to work with my Clover system. I bought three of these units as an open box/stock deal because the price was too good to pass up. Note that there may be open box/stock units that have AS10-P (old round keyboard connector) and may be sold as AS10-U (USB version). I bought three of these listed as AS10-U and out of the three two were AS10-P models. The plug comes out and swapping the plug shouldn't cause a problem, but…
