Runs like clockwork

My computer didn't recognize the reader at first. I then went into disk management, gave it a drive letter and it worked fine. Solidly built. It conveniently features two ports: Micro-USB/Micro-USB and USB 3.0/Micro-USB.

Pros
  • Rugged design
Cons
  • Waiting too long

Great product for memory card accessories

This was the third attempt to purchase a memory card reader that can read CFexpress cards and work on an Apple i Mac computer. I plugged it in and it worked great, I was even able to install a firmware update on my camera. Great product and I will be ordering another one soon.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • May damage

CF Express Reader that works!

Good Express CF reader! Works with my SanDisk card and I'm exporting photos from a Canon EOS R5. Fast and good! Getting a little warm.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Style 90

Slow transfer rate on computer accessories and peripherals

Transfer rate is terribly slow. The transfer speed of a CF Express card should be much faster than a 150MB/s SD Extreme card. But that's not the case. I tested several CF Express cards.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

Too slow! for card reader

I connected this card reader to my MSI laptop (windows 10 and i9 processor) and the system took a few minutes to get pictures through the USB 3.0 port. I bought a Sony CFexpress reader which was rated #1 and it only took 15 seconds. Unitek CFexpress card reader is too slow!

Pros
  • Always loved
Cons
  • Only available in white

Works well with a few caveats to be aware of.

First, a little background. For the workflow, I shoot with a Nikon Z6. I have been using Sony XQD cards and am having issues with boot record corruption when using Adobe Bridge Photo Downloader. So I decided to try Sandisk Extreme Pro CFExpress cards (which are much faster). So I bought this reader and connected it to my PC via the front USB-C port. The copy speed is super fast. What is the problem? Don't leave your card in the reader! Both will be very (no, extremely) hot even if no action is…

Pros
  • One-year probationary period
Cons
  • There are disadvantages
