I like this charger. At $25 it was a steal. It works just like an Apple charger, but it's very useful to have an extra charger. Forgot mine on holiday, delivered next day, and now I can use my dying MacBook! Works great with my early 2015 MacBook Pro despite the product name being 2012 or later. I would recommend it to others looking for a replacement charger, you can't do better.

So it's cheap and works great. Additionally, this order (first image) versus my recent online charger purchase (second image) shows how this order can be taken apart to connect to an extension cord from your original Apple charger. The second picture shows another replacement I've ordered in the past that doesn't fit the renewal (but you can't tell for sure from the pictures on the web when ordering) and broke within a year. So overall this is a GREAT VALUE.

Worked fine, month and a half and then charging started to fail. Today it suddenly stopped working and I noticed a burning smell. Upon inspection, a hole opened and the wires broke. I hope it was the burning smell and not something on my computer. EDIT: I'm updating this review to say that the manufacturer was very quick to respond to my issue and promptly sent me a new replacement adapter. He stays silent and cool.

I bought this for my 2015 MBP. I still have my original charger, but I wanted a second one so I don't have to carry it around with me everywhere. I use it in my office. I left it there and am now using my original charger as a backup. This charger works great. Just like the original. When my laptop was charged with this cable, the mouse didn't work at first. Now when it's plugged in, the volume randomly and suddenly gets high and there's no way to adjust it (buttons don't work). Got this one after the original died. I'm so glad it was an option. I have a 2015 Retina MBP and when it stopped charging I wasn't sure if it was the original charger or the logic board.
