Beware, skip this hose, risk of failure

This is the second failure of this hose. The first was on my high pressure fuel line. This was on the transmission oil line and it was in a smooth curve with no sharp edges or rubbing against anything, do not buy this hose

Gas leak in less than a year

Worked great until it broke. I tried to start my jeep and gas is splattering all over the under hood. I could easily burn down the jeep and the garage if I hadn't noticed right away. The leak area of the hose has no chafing or problems on the outside of the hose. Spend a little more for a higher quality, inner coated hose with higher temperature ratings.

Not Very Flexible - Motorcycles and Weightlifting

I put this line next to Summit. Yes, this stuff is MUCH cheaper. But it's MUCH harder. Luckily I chose to use bulkhead fittings to avoid sharp bends with this material. Also, the braid looks a lot less "rustproof" than the Summit material braid. It's just a visual thing as I don't really have a way to check the metal content - just an observation. Additionally, braid is harder to cut than Summit material and breaks more easily, making connector installation more difficult.

Worst sling I have ever used and will not buy again.

While the quality of the hose appears to be good, the stainless steel braiding is poor to work with. This braid will wear horribly once the tape is removed by almost any method (steel bladed hydraulic wheel, fiber reinforced wheel, cable cutters, etc.). Get ready to practice and find the best way that works for you. I've found that using a zip tie after removing the tape is best to get the braid into the mating nuts. Much luck. Update: hoses are now leaking in the middle of the lines. First it…

Leaks - don't waste your money - leaks anywhere for no apparent reason

Bought about a year and a half ago and hooked up as a suction line for my 25kW industrial generator. The hose sees only slight suction and no pressure. About 6 months ago I smelled fuel but found no active leaks. Two weeks ago my generator stopped working - I thought I was out of gas but it turned out I was having fuel delivery issues. Thought it was a bad fuel scavenge pump on the generator (and while it occurred to me that the line might be bad, I quickly dismissed it after considering the…
