I attached the gates to the headrests and taped the vertical bars to keep the crossbars from sliding up and down allowing him to stick his huge head through. If you want to train your dog to fall on it please buy this. It's guaranteed to fall off within minutes after you've spent an hour putting it together. What junk. The best thing to do is go to the hardware store and buy chicken wire. I bought it because it looked pretty cool. 6 of the 8 tube ends are broken causing the tubes to hang loose and slide freely. The metal has a deep groove in the metal. The cocking mechanism doesn't work at all no matter how I turn it. Eventually you can spread the bars until they are snug, resulting in large gaps in my 2003 Lincoln Navigator. Overall it looks like someone has returned it or used it before. I'll leave it as is for now and build a better one later.

The absolute worst instructions for any product I have ever assembled. Was able to assemble it by looking at the photos. But then it didn't work, thin, doesn't reach the roof of my car. I would rate this negatively, except I think maybe the product idea is good, they just need to tweak it and write better instructions. Once assembled I think if it fits it would be easy to install in a car. I am returning the goods, I will look for another brand. This is an inexpensive product.

Good idea but terrible design. The vertical bars are meant to be held in place (once adjusted to the correct height for your vehicle) by a small screw on each plastic head bar (so you have something to hang from). The problem is that this doesn't provide enough friction to hold the two adjustable bars in place. If you REALLY try to tighten two screws enough, you'll rip the plastic head off the screws, rendering them (and therefore the entire product) unusable. If the manufacturer would spend an

I was attempting to install the unit today and found a few issues upon unpacking. First, four of the eight small plastic ties holding the U-tubes to the crossbars snapped and broke. In fact, a more accurate statement would be that four of the seven were broken because the eighth element was completely missing. After receiving the goods, we had difficulties assembling the barrier. The setup took us about half an hour. Pros: Easy to assemble despite terrible instructions. Cons: - Doesn't work - Vertical bars are tightened with plastic grips and a soft plastic body that should hold a steel nut. This is not the case and will pass quickly. Nothing prevents the sides from sliding back into the center horizontal bars meaning the dog can easily slide them in as shown. Pulling out this item and looking at the assembly instructions was incredibly frustrating. The quality of the plugs and set screws was terrible. When trying to tighten the set screw, the plastic knob (used to tighten the screw) came loose from the screw and there was no other way to tighten it.
