Should have bought one of these years ago. done .

Should have bought one of these years ago. made for VW Beetle but fits my MGA without mods. Will likely fit or be made to fit many other engines. If you work with motors, get one.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • disappears

Fits Jaguar 4.2 XK engine (XJ6, E-Type, etc.)

Fits Jaguar 4.2 XK engine (XJ6, E-Type, etc.) perfectly but needs to be fitted to one of the triangular bells Assemble extensions that bolt through a hole in the bottom of the block with a nut and bolt. Don't try to install it by trying to screw a screw through it into the block - that won't work.

Pros
  • Solid finish
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Even works on a van engine!

I bought this because I have several buses and I needed to reinstall the engine and tighten the flywheel bolts (80 lb-ft). Before you freak out VW guys, this is a 2.1 Vanagon engine. . This device was made for old VW flywheels with a different number of teeth, but it worked on my engine. The fit isn't perfect, but it's functional. It fits me!

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Clarity

saved the day! for rim locks

There are some CRAZY YouTube methods. Participating in the use of a forklift (how many guys sit around doing nothing?). Another bump wrench between two bolts that could theoretically work. but rather break into your accommodation. JUST BUY THIS PRODUCT AND YOU'RE DONE... lol. Spray the liquid key a few days early if you can and use the BREAKER! It was difficult to find the right socket tool for the nut... I ended up buying a whole set. It's pretty good there with 250 pounds of torque. You NEED…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Some problems

MUST BE PRESENT to prevent the flywheel from rotating!

Easy to use and a MUST when working on a VW engine on the floor, workbench or engine stand. Even if you have an extra pair of hands, the torque characteristics are as high as a flywheel, it may take two people to achieve the true characteristic desired. One feature I haven't used but the way the tool is made is there are two different sets of teeth that allow it to be used on both popular sizes of VW flywheels. I suppose there are other ways to hold the flywheel using custom tools, crowbars…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor use
Cons
  • Durable

Block Any Car's Flywheel

This is a handy tool for removing and/or tightening flywheel bolts. This tool was used on a 2004 BMW 325Ci flywheel. Basically, this tool can be used on any BMW or car, not just buggies. When I bought this tool the Revain/Dune Buggy Warehouse had the best price for this little tool. All you need to use this tool is the gold Batman plaque and the existing gear case screw. Use this bell housing screw to screw this tool to the engine back plate, then align one of the tool's teeth with the flywheel

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
