Universal Sharpener Sharpening Locator Machine Review

I was very impressed with the quality of this product despite selling for less than comparable picks. I had to do very little (no more than 10 minutes of work) sanding/sanding to remove small burrs from threaded holes and sharp edges from machining. The money saved was definitely worth the 10 minutes invested. Highly recommended.

I found this device difficult to use from the start. The system for attaching the blade to the holder is disappointing. It uses two small plates that are attached with two nuts and bolts each. They barely hang from the blade when attached and you have to tighten both screws at the same time to align the plates to the blade for tightening. At this point I removed both panels and used only the AC clamp. The actual design seemed good, I just think they use low quality nuts and bolts making it…

Vertical stand that holds the thumbscrew to adjust the angle, it has a hole but it seems they forgot to put a thread in that hole, so useless. Alternatively if the thumbscrew is designed to go through a hole and get a nut. It doesn't even go through the hole. If that's correct (I don't see how) then it should be shipped with instructions or pre-assembled. UPDATE: It's actually designed for carving.
