installed 2 of 6 purchased, loved how bright they were in my truck, 2 days later one strip with 1/2 led didn't work, next day the other strip didn't work Completely. I rubbed the strips with my finger and they worked for a few seconds. took them out and installed 2 more of the 6 bought, this time they lasted a week then both stopped working. I checked the voltage and it's 12.2 at idle and 14.2 at idle. I gave the other two to a friend and he hasn't installed them on anything yet.

100% Bounce Rate! Even 1 out of 6 ordered didn't work upon arrival. Worse (yes, maybe worse), Amon Tech didn't respond to my inquiry and asked if they shipped devices rated for voltages other than 12VDC. Electricity as ordered. These are bright little lights, the wiring is very small, but it's not a problem. I have some under my door and they often get covered in dirt and I've pressure washed them many times and they still work fine. If you need a nice little spotlight to give great lighting to a small area, just don't expect them to be very bright from a distance. They come with double sided tape which I didn't use because it would stick the headlights out too far (about 3/16 inch thick) so I just siliconed them on…

These LED strips do not handle full voltage in a car or RV (especially with an AC charger). Mine ran between 140 and 150 degrees Fahrenheit. I installed a 4 ohm series resistor on both wires and now the LED strip is running at 110 degrees or less. I'm pretty sure they won't burn again. Of course, the manufacturer should have viewed this as part of the product itself and not expected EE to identify and explain the solution to their problem. They get one star for that. Another thing to note that I knew from a previous purchase of this type of lamp is that they come with a very SHORT and SMALL cord. I should start this review by stating that I have installed a number of LED bulbs for a variety of purposes, most of which have been bright spotlights for heavy equipment.
