Recommend! good for me

This one was recommended to me and amazon had the best price! I was looking for educational board/card games for my homeschool and I love mythology, so I became very interested in this one (such a cute idea and name).was very easy to learn, kids love it and can't get enough, it's also really fun for me too!

Pros
  • Striking balance between luck and skill, making it accessible for all players
Cons
  • Too cumbersome to take for travels

A little disappointed.

Had high expectations as this vmcame highly recommended. my almost 7 year old thought it was too boring. I try to sneak in as much learning as possible through games, but this one she refused to play after a few times as she thought it was too simple. The zeus figure is so cute and so are the cards. I just wish the gameplay appealed more to my child.

Pros
  • The game encourages social interaction and communication between players
Cons
  • Does not produce a satisfying end result

Family Favorite on my review.

Very fun family game. Some people may find this too simple and not a lot of playability. That's just the reason of -1 star.I enjoyed the game because it :1.helps kids to learn addition and subtraction. The game said ages 8+. But it can be played with kids at 5 years of age. Really depends on how early the kid starts with math.2.can be played quickly if you know how to. So it is a game that can limit play time if your kids wants to play something with you and you don't have 2 hrs to play. Plays…

Pros
  • Great for teaching critical thinking skills and decision-making
Cons
  • Not enough balance between luck and skill

great for my mythology fans!

My kids are currently 6 and 9, and on the heels of a Harry Potter obsession they've since developed an adoration for all things mythological (we're reading Percy Jackson together, my daughter has read the Goddess Girl books, and both like to read the original myths and stories). They love trying to sneak in win by hording god and goddess cards, and the game is as educational as it is fun. My son is in 1st grade and just learning to count my tens. In order to strategize he needs to flex his math…

Pros
  • Product Type: Board Game
Cons
  • Long setup time

7 year old loves this game

We bought this after our 7 year old saw the flier for it in her Sushi Go game (good marketing, guys!) and got excited because she is really into Greek Mythology right now. I think this game is a little more fun than Sushi Go! It goes more quickly and the point system is not as complex. Love it! Definitely buying a few for birthday gifts for other 1st graders.

Pros
  • Builds teamwork skills and encourages players to work together
Cons
  • Not conducive for social gatherings

A game fit for the gods

This was bought as a small packable game to go, to use as a way to pass the time with my kids. The rules are simple and easy to learn, with special Greek gods cards that make things interesting. Play can be fast, and is a fun way to practice addition and subtraction.

Pros
  • Great game for kids
Cons
  • Poor value for money

The Best Game Ever!

We bought this for our 11-year-old daughter who loves mythology and Percy Jackson, etc. But it turned out the game is tons of fun for all ages, all interests. My husband and I love the game. It's fun when you get going and pass Zeus around. Sometimes the game lasts a long time, but there are twists along the way, and the round could end after 2-3 cards are played. The whole bit about it being a great practice for learning addition is secondary to the real fun of Zeus on the Loose--you forget…

Pros
  • Toys & Games
Cons
  • Difficult to learn

Easy and adaptable: my feedback

Easy game to learn for all ages. I adapted it for use with students with visual impairments by brailling the cards and producing a "cheat sheet” in large print and Braille for students to keep by them to refer to for each character card.

Pros
  • It’s a fun simple game that my kids will actually choose to play. Helps with math skills too.
Cons
  • Unbalanced gameplay

Use abacus for young kids

We enjoy the game a lot. My daughter is not quite reading so we just show all of the cards. She also isn’t adding in her head just yet but she loves playing games so we just add the running total on an abacus that has 2 different colors on it to show increments of 5’s. Works perfect, she still gets to practice a bit of reading and mostly math while having fun!

Pros
  • The game is highly immersive, providing an escape from reality for a while
Cons
  • Types of cards are too familiar

I love that they are practising adding

My grade 3 class absolutely loves this game! I love that they are practising adding, rounding and regrouping while having fun. Some students find it difficult to keep the number in their heads, so we use a counter on a hundreds chart to keep track. Great game!

Pros
  • The game can be played repeatedly without becoming monotonous
Cons
  • Too dependent on luck

Fun game and great for improving math skills

Takes a time or two to really get the game for younger players, but lots of fun and great way to help children with addition and subtraction skills-- not to mention history/philosophy-- while also having a lot of fun.

Pros
  • Easy to explain. Played w/ my elderly parents and they had no trouble keeping up
Cons
  • Limited replayability

Great game in my review

My 8yr olds play it often. It reinforces mental math. This game also led to them researching Greek & Roman mythology as well as choosing more fictional novels with mythological characters (this was great because they had been in a reading rut). It’s easy to keep in a purse or large coat pocket for use in waiting rooms & at restaurants.

Pros
  • Package Quantity: 1
Cons
  • Doesn't make full use of mythology themes

Fun & Competitive Game

I played this game with both children and with adults. Everyone enjoys it because the rounds can go as fast or as slow as you want to play it. The game is great for practicing mental math skills!

Pros
  • My 10 yr old grandson who loves Greek mythology loved playing this gamw
Cons
  • Lack of strategy

Perfect for travel and killing time

Loved this game way more than I expected. It is perfect for killing time with the kids when waiting for food to arrive at restaurants, etc. Game moves fast and anyone can pick up quick. Luck element makes it so all kids have a chance. Makes them use mental math, too. Easily fits in purse. Buy it!

Pros
  • Can be played with just two players, making it perfect for intimate evenings at home
Cons
  • Lack of strategy required

My eight year old wanted this for his birthday, he'd played it with a friend. We bought it and we love it! It's unlike any other game we have, requires some basic addition skills, some strategy, and some luck. It's been equally fun for us parents and for the kids.

Pros
  • A fun and engaging game that allows players to dive into the world of Greek mythology
Cons
  • Lacking in replay value

Great Game! on my review.

What a great game! Educational, fun, fast paced. My kids are 6 & 8, and they get such a kick out of beating mom and dad at this game! This is a great way to practice math skills in a fun way, there's adding, subtracting, rounding, multiples of 10, etc. This was a stocking stuffer for my 8 year old who is into Greek Gods after reading the Goddess Girls book series. I'm glad I found this game, it moves fast enough that we can play a few rounds after dinner and enjoy family fun time while…

Pros
  • Perfect for players of all ages and skill levels
Cons
  • Card text is too small

My skeptical kids love it!

I got this because my kids needed math practice and are obsessed with Greek mythology thanks to Percy Jackson. They were certain this game was going to be lame. I was met with groans when it arrived, and they were forced to give it a try. After one round they loved it. It’s now the most requested game in our collection.

Pros
  • Fun game
Cons
  • Requires too much luck

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This game is fun and enjoyable for a variety of ages

It’s quick to learn and fairly easy to play with a variety of ages (children and adults) I wish we learned more about the Greek gods playing this game. There also seem to be a couple of cards that you can hold onto to ensure you win, which ruins it once everyone figures that out and we removed.

Pros
  • Package Dimensions: 3.8 cms (L) x 12.3 cms (W) x 3.8 cms (H)
Cons
  • Not enough variety in card types

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great Game for Kids

My five year old and I play a bit of a variant (house rules) on this game because the rules are a bit overly complex. Still it's fun and stealing the little Zeus figurine is a great time for her. It's also nice to introduce her to the gods.

Pros
  • Can be played in short or long sessions, making it highly flexible for different schedules
Cons
  • Too low-quality for the price
