good quality and accurate

you get what you pay for. but the value for the quality is great for a starter install kit. gauge sizes on cables are accurate. working great on my system. the only thing I have to mention is that I wish the speaker cable was a thicker gauge. but overall awesome.

Pros
  • liked the quality of the wires. There could stand to be an extra foot or two of the power wire
Cons
  • Expensive price tag

Great install kit for a small-mid size vehicle.

Always hit or miss with some of these less expensive install kits but I’m pleased with this one and I especially liked the soft feel on all the wires. Beats the hard plastic acrylic sheathing. Haters gonna hate just ignore the negative reviews like "wires a little short” it tells you EXACTLY how long each wire is. If you have a big car or know you have a lot of routing, this kit probably won’t have enough wire, look for a 25ft kit. Also, people griping on here about the remote wire. It’s a…

Pros
  • Original equipment manufacturer-grade wiring
Cons
  • Could be too cumbersome for some car models

wire gauge is true to spec

I purchased this kit to install a system in my son's Jeep. Wire size is true and components are good. I would buy it again for my next install.

Pros
  • Great!!!
Cons
  • Could cause interference with vehicle electronics

Wires are great, I replaced the fuse block

The fuse block design leaves the end caps very open, so I traded it out for one that fit snugly around the wires. Other than that the kit is great and worked perfectly for my install.

Pros
  • CHINGON PARA SPEAKERS
Cons
  • May require additional wiring for complete installation

Good product. - my new review

Everything great, ground cable to short, but I knew that before purchasing. Still I think they could offer a longer ground wire with little price increase.

Pros
  • Works well
Cons
  • Wiring may be too short for certain car models

Good buy for your new amp or powered subwoofer

I added a powered subwoofer to my Jeep Wrangler and needed to wire it up along my existing 4-channel amp. I did not use the speaker wire but the power, ground, and remote wire worked well. I do wish that I would have had a little more ground wire as it was barely enough for my needs.

Pros
  • Low noise production for a clearer sound
Cons
  • Could be too long for some car models

Fuse had a crack on the end of it bought another one i didnt feel it was safe. Ground wire is only like 3 feet even tho the power cord covers anything from a smart car to a stretch limo but for 20$ i got more than my money worth.

Pros
  • Reliable connections for uninterrupted functionality
Cons
  • Could be too thick for some installations

Good Amp Kit - my new review

Great Quality RCD and Speaker Cabkes, the power cables could be better but it works. Use kit to power to Rockford R2 12 250RMS and2-Channel Rockvillee B25

Pros
  • Reduced energy loss through the wiring
Cons
  • May be too thick to fit in certain areas of car

Great for a budget build

I purchased this for my 03 f150 I love the color and the fact that it didn’t come with a cheap fuse holder. May require modifications to vehicle for proper installation.

Pros
  • Soft-touch wire for easier handling
Cons
  • May require modifications to vehicle for proper installation

Pretty Solid Kit for the Money

Really nice install kit, and a pretty solid bargain. The cables are all smooth touch which made a noticeable difference in how much easier the cables snaked through the car. High gloss cables tend to get caught and snag on other gloss surfaces. Crimp hardware that comes with the kit is pretty solid too with smooth edges and clean finished.I did not use the RCA cables that came with the kit, only because I already had a 6-channel set on hand that I needed to use.My only issue with this kit, and…

Pros
  • Boosts the definition and depth of music
Cons
  • May not be as user-friendly as other wiring kits on the market

Good wires in my review

Decent wires, nothing but copper from what I can tell. Definitely not horrible for the money. I was able to install my 4 chanel amp once I bought a little more speaker wire.

Pros
  • Consistent power distribution through the entire system
Cons
  • May cause damage to vehicle if not installed properly

Great kit for the money!

This is a great, inexpensive dual amp install kit! It rivals much more expensive kits in both quality and what's included. You get 4g +/-, a fused distribution block, with fuses. Plenty of 8g +/-, 2 sets of 2-ch RCA's, and large under-hood fuse holder, wire loom, 12v+ turn on wire, ground distribution and plenty of 4g/8g ring terminals. The quality isn't top notch, but for a $37 kit, I was very pleased. The wire is pretty close to running true 4g/8g - not quite. I was in the 12v industry for a…

Pros
  • Value for the money
Cons
  • Could be difficult to route the wiring in some vehicles

Fine product: my feedback

I bought it specifically for the 8 gauge wire and crimp ends and worked as expected. I am sure I will use the rest of the wires for something along the way.

Pros
  • 17ft Red Soft Touch 8 Gauge CCA Power Cable
Cons
  • May be too thick and hard to bend for certain installations

Great kit for the price!

For the price it’s a great amp kit! The wires are really nice, the item pic doesn’t do it justice. I was surprised by the quality with a cheaper amp kit.

Pros
  • Muy buena calidad, se ajusta perfecto a las medidas q nesesitava
Cons
  • Requires some technical knowledge to install properly

Not the avg cheap sh**

Love the soft cabling, along with heavy duty aluminum/zinc threads inside. Not the average thin (200+) 32ga. wiring, that comes in Boss and other cheap brands. Components are exactly what I needed: to connect from the batt to the rear, and the distribution block to the capacitor and amps; to ground wire being both sturdy and sufficient. Bought two: one for my own car install, and the next customer's. Will definitely be buying InstallGear again. They've just become my standard.

Pros
  • Designed for superior signal transmission
Cons
  • May not provide enough clearance in tight spaces

It’s CCA, you get what you pay for.

This won’t last as long as traditional copper. I wouldn’t expose this to the elements if you can do so. The CCA will corrode fast & I mean fast. Do yourself an favor and spend $15 more for true OFC copper wire. I hooked up an low wattage amp with this stuff so it worked for what I needed it to do. But if u can OFC is the way to go.

Pros
  • Really good quality wires! Actual 8 gauge!
Cons
  • May not improve sound quality as much as expected

Best bang for your buck!

I thought this was a great kit concerning the amount of money you spend. If you want mild bass out of a single sub and amp, this kit should be plenty. Why anyone would give this less than 5 stars after paying $16 and getting a complete and usable kit must be a moron. If I paid $50 and received this in the mail, I might get upset but guess what? It handles my 300 watt RMS amp without a problem and the soft touch cable is much easier to install than that hard plastic crap. Grommets would have…

Pros
  • Good amp kit
Cons
  • Could be difficult to route wiring in newer cars with advanced electrical systems

Works perfect and great price

The is exactly what you need to install an amp in your car. Great value, the local instal shop wanted $80 for practically this same exact amp kit, and when I brought this one in they actually said they liked the fuse holder box on my kit better than what they use. Also the fuse is 100A when most are 80A.

Pros
  • Great for the price
Cons
  • May not be compatible with all head units

Installation cables

The cable is not undersized like other brands which I have to return as it so undersized. I have not installed them yet but the cables are very good quality. Thanks Install Gear.

Pros
  • AGU Fuse Holder with 50A Fuse
Cons
  • Not recommended for novice installers
