My husband is very handy and still couldn't get it right. Sometimes they work, and sometimes the kids just tear open the closet anyway.

These latches were easy to install and I didn't need the second part as it snapped onto the edge of my cabinet. They also have a hand that can be used, so they are permanently unlocked. It suits us because we only need them when the grandkids come.

The picture shown is deceptive. They appear to be much larger than they are. This is combined with the "modernised, luxurious" language. They give sizing, but the picture is VERY misleading. These are tiny and thin. Just plastic junk. The first time I tried to twist it it broke. They are probably all crap but felt compelled to warn others.

Works fine. Strong hold when installed correctly. A long overhang is good for a countertop with a longer overhang. However. You must activate them manually when closing or slamming the drawer. I put one down and it still didn't close any easier. I'll try to smear maybe. Decreasing the angle of rotation on the valve will probably help. I have magnetic latches from the same brand for base cabinets. They work great.

They looked good quality. But if you have a framed edging in your cabinets and drawers (I had) then the 2 inch surface on the hook side of these locks cannot be securely fastened. The interior of all my cabinets and drawers has about a 1" piece of wood on the top edge, except just under my counter where there is about a 1.5" quartz bead. So a 2 inch bar is too big. The package still arrived damaged so I sent it back.
