Doesn't work in my TP20

I have a TP20 that these sensors are compatible with. When I plug it in, the display just shows HHH. I swapped ports. I turned it off and then back on again. Batteries removed and reinserted. Same meaning. H-HH. When I put in my old original probe, I get instant temperature readings. I also noticed that the new probes don't fit into the connector port as securely as the original ones. You sit very freely. Unfortunately I have to send them back tomorrow.

Pros
  • Kitchen and dining room
Cons
  • So-so

Works Great!: Kitchen and Dining Room

I toasted my previous probe and was so happy to have these folks working in my ThermoPro. Also very accurate. I tried ice water and hot water from my kettle and they were right on. Good product! However, regardless of what type of probe you use, I recommend not letting the cord hang over the flame. From now on I always roast without a probe, and when I start cooking large cuts of meat I turn off the side burner to allow the cord to exit the meat without being exposed to direct heat.

Pros
  • Improved Probes
Cons
  • Negative Gift

Absolute nonsense!: Meat

These probes, which are intended to replace the original probes in the TP-20, are complete junk! The original sensors that came with the TP-20 weren't very good to begin with. They stopped working after a few times. I ordered them as replacements because they should be better. Oh no! The readings from these sensors are nowhere near the actual temperature! They are between 30 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit! Like most things made in China these days, these sensors are junk! Absolute waste of money…

Pros
  • Only compatible with the models listed
Cons
  • Working speed

Temperature measurement WAY Off

I bought these upgraded sensors in 2019 because one of the original sensors failed. I used them for the first time for Thanksgiving 2020. My 21 pound turkey surprisingly "cooked" in much less time than expected, and we found the turkey wasn't cooked even though both gauges read an internal temperature of 165 degrees and within 4 degrees. each other. I later compared the still working original sensor to the new ones and found that the original measured accurately while the new one measured 50…
