Huge disappointment, don't buy!

My analysis of this product showed that while it promised high-speed internet connection, it failed miserably. The ethernet adapter did not work, causing constant interruptions in the network. The only good thing about it was its compact size. However, its overall poor performance outweighed this one advantage. Save your money and avoid this product.

840 Mbit/s write speed and 920 Mbit/s read speed on my network - great!

My new Asus Zenbook Duo (great btw) didn't have an ethernet port and I needed faster network speeds from my living room than WiFi. I work with large amounts of data, so it's best to use a wired connection whenever possible. I tried this adapter with a USB-C port and it gives me an average write speed of 840Mbps and a read speed of 920Mbps from my laptop to desktop (vs. 250Mbps/425Mbps via WiFi). I also get my typical wired download speed of 480Mbps over the internet. Gets a little warm afterโ€ฆ

Required for new laptop

Oddly enough, my new Lenovo laptop didn't have an ethernet port that looked like a phone jack. It only came with an Ethernet port like my TV and a USB-C port. I know, I know. These ports and connectors are constantly changing as technology advances. How is anyone supposed to stay up to date every time they update their devices? You'll need several different cables on hand. Anyway, due to this oversight(?) I had to order this USB-C to Ethernet adapter so my new laptop can connect to my modemโ€ฆ
