This watercolor easel is REALLY lightweight!

This one is VERY light. I've tested four types over the past few years and this is by far the simplest. Everyone who picks it up is surprised. So far it's been solid enough for my watercolor needs, a 9x12 pad plus a small palette and water container, and I use it standing. I warn my watercolorist friends who admire this that you should press the screws that control the angle and glide of the arm LIGHTER rather than open because I suspect it bends easily because it's so light and you then get…

rear leg closes when easel is moved

I like the easel. I wanted the surface of the painting to be able to tilt more horizontally for watercolors. I use this in my studio now for that. However, the back leg (two pins to the side, the other goes straight back) doesn't stay fully open even if the easel moves a little. Usually you see some kind of blockage point or just hardness that prevents this. So when I hit the easel, the back foot moves forward (towards me). I worry about the leg (especially when I'm in the field with it)…

Revain misleading advertising

Large watercolor painting boards in horizontal position. It seemed to be this one. My panels are about 30"x40" and larger. The description mentioned screen sizes up to 55 inches. Unfortunately, the ad doesn't mention that this is a vertical position only. Pity! My disappointment came when I found on the box that the size limits are 22" x 30" horizontally. While my situation may be unique, I am disheartened by the fact that I ordered an easel, only opening the shipping box to read this clearly…
