There were no instructions on how to use the product

There were no instructions on how to assemble the tips and how to use them. There is a 4" x 7" folded "instruction manual" but it doesn't show how to change the tips or what to use them for. The writing on this paper is very small and difficult to read. I tried to use it but the tip was loose. Maybe the instructions just didn't make it into my box. It comes in a nice zipped case and the tools are in a plastic box to keep them together. I also felt comfortable holding it in my hand.

Extremely reliable, loads of accessories

This item has held up very well in an ambitious wood burning project (drawings). I burned the groove lines of a highly detailed squid into a 36" x 36" tabletop, which took many long sessions over several days. A couple of times I forgot to turn it off when I was done for the night and it ended up staying on for about 24 hours at a time. The auto shut off might be a nice feature, but I'm just glad it didn't burn my house down. Even after it was left on for too long, it reliably heated to maximum

A Few Questions

This product would be great, but the distance between where you can hold it like a pen without burning your skin and the actual tip is too far apart to have any real control over it, where you burn yourself. Once you've screwed the tips in tight with no slack and it's hot enough to start your project, after about 2 minutes the heat will cause the tip to unscrew just far enough that the tip is loose where you aren't can apply enough pressure to burn accurately. I ended up buying a $60 tool that…

I will need to use it more often but maybe I need to upgrade it to 5 stars.

First off, this kit contains every type of wood stove I've ever seen. So far it seems to be working fine. The on/off button and temperature control not only work great, they feel sleek and functional rather than cheap and flimsy. For reference, my first job along these lines was welding plastic and reinforcing a broken plastic screen for a friend's lawn mower. I don't mean a 20 minute fix. I melted and crimped and welded this thing for a good 4 or 5 hours. Temperature control was PERFECT! I set
