    Cheap. Looks good. Works

    At least for now. Drilled a 3/4 inch hole in the dash and routed the cable through. Looks like it came standard with the car. Works great with my Atoto head unit with CarPlay, at least for now.

    Good product suitable for car AV installation

    Great for what is advertised and the length is just right. For my application, the side clips weren't big enough to be effective, but the back was more than enough to stick to the surface of the application.

    Works with Android Auto

    Allows you to add an Android Auto connector to your car stereo. Works great, no connection problems. I didn't use the mount. I drilled a round roll and snapped it onto the USB partition. Looks really good and works great.

    Does not fit standard 12v outlets

    I bought this assuming it would fit a standard 12v outlet on my 2014 4Runner, but this That's not true. I think it's my fault for not reading the description carefully enough. But I didn't worry too much about it because it was cheap and hidden in my glove box.

    Ideal for use in the office!

    I know it's made and advertised for in-car use, but I wanted the USB port to be close to me rather than reaching across my desk to get to the docking station . So as you can see from the picture I installed it under my desk so I could quickly plug in flash drives, charging cables etc without having to move around my desk. Works great, highly recommended!

    I installed it on my F150 dash to connect my iPhone to the aftermarket stereo for CarPlay. A piece of advice: since the connector and the nut are made of rubberized material, it is too difficult to unscrew the nut without some kind of lubrication; I used a dab of engine oil and it worked great. One more info: You will need to drill a 1-1/8" diameter hole.

    Turned my sofa into a charging station! Ideal!

    We're tired of the ubiquitous extension cords and plugged our large sofa into USB charging sockets. Anywhere looking for mountable USB connectors, they are perfect for all needs. They come with six-foot cords. I wish they were a little longer, but I just grabbed a multi-port USB charging hub and placed it centrally under the sofa. The only downside (probably a surprise, I should say) is that the USB sockets are encased in soft molded rubber material. It's probably great on a boat, not exactly what I was looking for but close enough. The threads are also short. You could probably attach a support nut up to 1/4 inch thick.
