Nice to get your feet wet

Goes very well with my prismacolor verithin colored pencils but the white color is not clear enough for my taste. I think a Prismacolor pencil with a softer core will work better and produce deeper colors. I want the black on the paper to be darker.

Pros
  • Sturdy workmanship
Cons
  • Nothing here

Very good black drawing paper

Good notebook. The paper is smooth and suitable for drawing with colored, pastel, gel and touch-up pencils. Standard markers like Copic alcohol markers will not show up on black paper. Grips Uniball Signo UM-153 are shown in the photos. There is no bleeding from its use.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • For the old

Good price for sketchbooks and notebooks

You get two for a good price. Goes well with prismatic flowers. Resists erasing, but I suggest using a soft eraser that may fade a bit if you erase too hard. I accidentally dampened the paper a bit and was surprised that it evaporated quickly and didn't damage or lift the paper.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Useless features

Good for simple drawings, but.

This paper works well for basic colored pencil work, but once you try to start blending or adding layers it will quickly sink. It only managed to get 2 coats on before it either started removing other colors or didn't mix at all. I'm using Prismacolor Soft Core so it should blend very easily, but not on this paper.

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Decent cheap black sketch paper. Not for finished products.

Simple budget black construction paper. Very smooth, almost shiny on one side and slightly rough on the other. Good weight for dry media or ink, I wouldn't use paint on it: it will bend. I use it for white crayons, pastels and gel pens for sketching. It's a decent practice paper for a small fee. Better than heavy paper, but not as good as heavy card stock. I would probably buy again.

Pros
  • This is awesome
Cons
  • Some bugs

Less than ideal paper for drawing, painting and art supplies

I bought this paper for bookbinding. I received two pads (shrink wrapped) as per the description. The quality and thickness of the paper itself is good, but unfortunately about half the pages in each notebook have this odd discoloration that I can guess from the manufacturing process (see photo, unfiltered). The front of the paper is also much smoother than the back, which can be important if you plan to use both sides. All in all I'm a bit disappointed but I think that's what I get when I buy…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn
