This is a great item as it removes static electricity from.

This is a great product as it removes static electricity from paper. It's great for embossing. You wipe the paper with it before you start, then stamp and sprinkle the embossing powder, and don't worry about the excess powder sticking and then burning off when you use the embossing gun. You can also grate it into the bowl or tray you use for embossing, so you don't have to worry about wasting powder that can be so expensive!

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • A few little things

Hot Stamping Cleaner

I'm having trouble getting embossing powder residue to stick to paper or card stock. It was very tedious to remove random bits. The Goodbye Static Pad is amazing! I used to try rubbing dryer sheets with cardboard, thinking it was anti-static enough. The results with the Goodbye Static Pad are much better. There are very few, if any, wandering powders. I rub it on the paper I'm doing the embossing on and on the paper where the excess powder will catch. The Goodbye Static Pad leaves chalk marksโ€ฆ

just what i needed

ok yes you can make your own but i have to say i can never get my bags working as well as i can't. My bag is just as full and sewn, it closed without a hole so I went back to purchase. They last a long time, although I use mine a lot, so they last a year and a half. If you don't mint much, it might last a decade or more, and it's worth it. It does what it's supposed to do, it cuts out static so my glitter and embossing powder stays right where I want it and my cards look very clean andโ€ฆ

Pros
  • easy to use
Cons
  • no power
