Interior False Advertisement

So they advertise that the key can be programmed via their website. nope The key itself is of good quality but unusable as you cannot program it yourself. Either you have to pay more than $100 or a locksmith, or you have to have the original two keys that came with the truck. If so, why the hell are you still ordering a replacement transponder key? Don't waste your money, go to Home Depot and pay $70.

Pros
  • Sturdy Construction
Cons
  • Speed

I can't cut the programmable key on the spot

I ordered the programmable key and the key fob at the same time. The keychain works great and is very easy to program. I took a programmable key to have it cut, but I can't find anyone in Spokane who could cut a key that they didn't sell. It appears that the programmable key may be a slightly different size than the original key, but can be cut to length to fit (2003 Ford Escape).

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Useless functions

Works and is cheap for keyless entry

One of my two keys to my Crown Victoria (1998) didn't work very well but worked; it has worn out over the years. When I first spoke to Ford they wanted over $150 for a new key. Next time they said because I had two working keys. I was able to program it myself for a $70 Ford key. I bought a key from USARemote for $8.95. Cut for $2. I used the programming method on the USA Remote website and it works great.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Ok

READ THIS!: Interior

I have a 1999 Ford Ranger. A long time ago I lost one of the factory keys. So I went to Ace Hardware with another factory key and they were able to make a clone of that key. BUT since it was a clone, it was an exact copy with the same chip code. So I figured I had two keys to program this key BUT the car would see these two keys as the same key so I really only had two copies of one key. In order to be able to program one of these (third) keys, you need two factory keys (with different internal
