🔋 utipower 12V LCD Battery Capacity Monitor Gauge Meter for Lead-Acid Car Battery, Blue Review

Perfect for my application of the 12v SLA battery controller in one of those electronic safes. I built the mount out of 26 ga. Sheet metal that is welded and riveted to the battery door after the wire clearance hole has also been drilled. I am now able to charge the battery at a reasonable discharge level before low voltage affects safe operation.

I see some people complaining that it's not accurate compared to my multimeter but it's accurate. The only thing I don't like is that the only mounting option is to just drill holes in it and screw it to the wall. And I don't like that there is no cover on the back. I'm assuming it's going to be wall mounted, but that's not the best option for me.

I am very disappointed with it. Not only does it not show the exact voltage, it also doesn't show the exact battery percentage. (see photos) not to mention that it looks like it will break in your hands at any moment. I bought this for my van conversion so I can see my 250Ah AGM battery percentage at a glance. Plunging inside to install the meter, I found that it was not reading accurately. I guess I'll have to buy a bigger display to hide the hole this created.

Extremely annoying that there is no plug and wires in the kit for you to connect something. I had to disconnect the connector and solder the wires directly to the board. I use this device for my homemade and 3D printed work lights that I use every day at work. I wasn't expecting very accurate readings as it depends on the battery voltage to determine the percentage. I had my doubts as I have another battery meter and it shows a higher percentage than this one. Spring. After testing both, I found that this counter is indeed correct. Remember folks, different gauges calculate "full" based on different voltages. Inaccurate percentage reading. I recently installed and found that a fully charged 12.7 volt battery only shows 84% charge on this gauge. A 12V battery cannot have a higher voltage than 12.7V, so the reading must be 100%. This inaccurate percentage reading worries my wife when we go camping. THIS BATTERY MONITOR DOES NOT WORK. SHOULD SHOW BATTERY POWER IN PERCENTAGE FROM 100% TO 0%. After installation, the monitor only shows 100% (it shows that the batteries are fully charged, despite using the car (Golf Corps), which clearly consumes the power of the batteries.
