We used them for tie dyeing for a birthday party and they were great. The colors have become a bit more muted, but I soaked the pillowcases in water beforehand, which may be the reason. We used a tulip color set and left them for 24 hours before washing. All children were very satisfied with their projects. This is a cotton blend, not 100% cotton.

I bought them for holiday rentals. These are the worst pillowcases I have ever seen. They're almost see-through, the ruffs feel cheap, even the hem is very narrow. I put them in the closet and forgot so it's too late to send them back now. What a waste because I can't use it. Very disappointed.

Unlike the product image which only says 'cotton', my packaging specifically says 'cotton blend'. I don't know what they are mixed with (probably poly) because there is no information on the labels about the composition of the fabric. Unfortunately it is NOT 100% cotton at all. It's not clear what percentage of cotton is used, but based on how the paint cures I'm guessing it's somewhere around 60%. . If you plan to use them for dye inks, your colors will become dull, uninteresting and fade quickly because Procion dyes cannot bond with the synthetic material used. Please note this is a cotton blend, not 100% cotton as you would expect on the Utopia list. "Mixture" is written on the packaging. I suspect the other fiber is probably poly and that should have been listed, as well as other companies that sell poly/cotton pillowcases and sheets. The pillowcase itself does not say which fiber it is. Also, they need to be washed immediately in hot water with lots of detergent as they have a funny smell right out of the box.
