Not Accurate Enough for Testing

As a result of my tests, I determined that this analog voltage margin tool is not accurate enough for precise testing. The readings were inconsistent and did not match up with other testing equipment.

Pros
  • None
Cons
  • Inconsistent readings

Works like a charm and comes with all the hardware required.

I bought this to build a DC wood lathe on a treadmill and it works great. Now I can try to pinpoint the voltage so I can run the motor at the optimum voltage. All screws, washers and nuts required for assembly were included. I would buy it again if I needed a different voltmeter.

Pros
  • Electric
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

This is a good meter with one problem

This meter arrived as advertised. Except that there is no way to fix the error in the countermove. Of course, as with all these types of counters, you can set zero. However, it only showed 45V when the actual voltage was 50. This is a big mistake and if you set it with the zero setting the zero will be far away and the low voltage readout will be crappy. Otherwise it worked fine for my application. I just have to keep in mind that the voltage readings are slightly higher than the actual…

Pros
  • Voltage tester
Cons
  • Big and bulky
