Comes in a white box with no labels. The crankshaft sensor only says China. Despite all those red flags, this part worked. My 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 with the 5.9 liter petrol engine started again. It may not last long, or it may last forever, who knows. The price is very low compared to local stores. So far I can't complain.

I bought a crankshaft sensor from Advanced Auto Parts for my Dodge Ram 98 and my truck wouldn't start so I figured something else was wrong with my truck so I did a few things that my truck doesn't have was not wanted and I spent about $900 and nothing worked so I decided to order a crankshaft from Amazon, attach it and guess what?. My truck started right away. I recommend this product 100%.

If you research these sensors you will find that everyone says "You need a genuine Mopar sensor for it to work without check engine lights" but that is incorrect . My Mopar sensor that I bought was still giving out a code and then one day died. I replaced it with this one and now I have no popup codes and it works. This is a replacement PITA (if you don't have a B-series van) but I'd say it's about as good as a Mopar gauge.

I bought this to replace my old sensor which failed after 20 years and let's just say you get what you pay for. That does not work. I couldn't get a spark as the truck couldn't get a signal from the sensor. I would have sent it back but I think I threw it away with my old one by buying a more expensive part from a trusted seller (like Auto Zone). If you plan to go to great lengths to replace this part, get the one that works, and that's not the point!

97 dodge 1500 5.9 4x4 Well I haven't installed an OBD scanner on it yet to see if it works but installing it is a headache. Not uxcell's fault, but here's a tip. Remove the feeler gauge (15mm on bell body). Bolt 13mm. Don't try from above. Go underneath and put your hand behind the exhaust pipe and transmission pan.
