Cuts better than I expected, just take a little at a time, it's better to shave thin and make a few adjustments than dive deep and shake the whole table . Many Thanks.
Works well for milling some aluminum materials. I haven't used it on steel but if I was going to mill steel I would go with a carbide mill, looks like it's going to be pushed to the limit on aluminum. But the price was right.
I have used this CNC router several times on a fairly thick walnut and was not impressed. Thrown away after the third run, so only about 40 passes left. It's just too boring. Perhaps this is not the material for which it is intended.
I've had several Amico end mills that I've been happy with, but this one dulled almost immediately. I was just outside the return window when I started using it so I stuck with it (not very expensive so I guess) but this grinder was complete bullshit.
I'm not a machinist by profession, but I'm not exactly a beginner either. I have used this bit for milling aluminum forgings, it worked perfectly! He made a smooth cut, leaving a good ending with no chatter. Since my car doesn't have a coolant injector, I was very satisfied. The bits are individually labeled and packed in hard plastic cases. Great for what I wanted. I can't speak about more demanding applications because aluminum is quite soft.
